MASTER´S PROGRAMME ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRATISATION FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

ACADEMIC PROGRAMME

The Regional Master´s Programme on Human Rights and Democratisation for Latin America and the Caribbean is a postgraduate interdisciplinary course consisting of a number of taught core subjects and seminars as well as workshops and professional oriented activities conducted in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a one-week intensive seminar at the European Inter-University Centre in Venice, Italy.

Phase I consists of four core subject and a workshop, distributed as follows

Phase IV consists of a special seminar on the European System for the Protection of Human Rights offered by the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) at the Venice Lido.

Phase V consists of professional oriented activities.  The students will carry out activities relating to human rights and transitional justice at selected NGOs and human rights institutions. 

Phase VI During the last phase of the Programme, students must finish the research and writing up of their Master’s thesis under the guidance of the assigned Thesis Tutor.
